The first competition of 2008 was held near Huntingdon but the rest will be at the Wetlands bird sanctuary with the exception of the Nationals where the venue is yet to be confirmed.

Wetlands is near Lound, Nottinghamshire. When you arrive at the site drive along the rough track, past the visitor centre (on your left) until you reach a track to your right. Turn right here and immediately take the right fork which leads up an incline to the plateau. Please close all gates you might pass through. We could be in any one of the fields, so keep driving and keep looking.

Here is a streetmap link. The arrow is pointing to the track where it branches and you need to take the right fork, up the incline.

1. Sunday 30 March

2. Sunday 20 April

3. Sunday 11 May

4. Sunday 1 June - League table

5. Sunday 29 June

6. Sunday 27 July *

7. Monday 25 August (Nationals) - Venue TBC

8. Sunday 14 September (Reserve)

* 200W/kg competitions are being held on Saturday 31 May and Saturday 26 July for anyone wanting to make a weekend of it. Visit esoaring.net for the rules.

Competitors can only fly one F5B class (7-cell or F5B) per event if they want their score to be counted for the league. At the end of the season the best 6 scores will be counted to determine the winner. If less than 8 events are flown it will be the best 5 from 7, 4 from 6, etc.

Try to arrive before 9.30am and be prepared to fly by 10.00am. We should fly at least four rounds and finish by 6.00pm.

Because we share the use of Wetlands we must fly on even channels up to ch.70.

Bring a spare receiver on the same channel that you fly so that the course equipment can monitor whether your motor is on or off.
